Duende Libre Trio ft. Naomi Moon Siegel @ Westside Theater (Missoula, MT)

Saturday November 9th - 2PM Workshop - 7:30PM Performance

For this performance the trio will be joined by award-winning trombonist and composer Naomi Moon Siegel.

Workshop Info: Explore fundamentals of Latin rhythms with Duende Libre. Expand your rhythmic knowledge and bring diversity to your own music.

Explore the rich and diverse rhythmic legacy of Brazil, Cuba, and the Caribbean in this hands-on workshop. We'll use active participation, call & response, and live demonstration to give you a deeper understanding of how you can apply these African-based rhythms to your own music. Open to all instrumentalists, vocalists, and music lovers who want to deepen their listening and musical understanding. No instruments required. $15 Suggested Donation

Duende Libre Trio @ Leavenworth Jazz Festival (CHS Workshop)

Drawing from their extensive experiences teaching in the styles of Cuba, Brazil, and the Caribbean we explore the rich and varied rhythmic legacy at the root of modern jazz. Duende Libre workshops include hands-on, call-and-response sessions and collective jamming. Participants will leave with a deeper appreciation and understanding of how they can utilize these techniques and rhythms in their own music
